Our Story
Conexia started in 1996 as a small start-up division within IMPSAT Fiber Networks (now part of Global Crossing).The healthcare industry in Argentina was facing many challenges at that time: hospitals, pharmacies, medical practices and other providers were error prone and inefficient.
In 2000, our current management team joined the company and started to work on a vision for an integrated healthcare system, which would connect the different parts of the industry in one seamless network.
They were so committed to this idea, that in 2004 they acquired the business and formed a privately owned company, focused on realizing this vision.
Conexia implemented one of the world’s first real time adjudication systems, which has revolutionized healthcare in Argentina.
The company has continued to grow and we now process over 2 million transactions each month, connecting more than 20,000 providers. We employ 150 staff in three locations and in 2010 we were recognized by the New York based Endeavor Foundation as a high impact company.
With healthcare industries in other international markets facing many of the same issues seen in Argentina, Conexia is well placed to deliver services and solutions to help meet these challenges.
As we move into the next chapter of our story, we maintain the entrepreneurial spirit and remain true to our original vision of helping revolutionize healthcare through integrated IT systems.
